The Preacher and His Bike

A preacher received a call to preeach at a small church, which also provided a parsonage. The preacher enjoyed riding his bicycle but he needed a lawn mower. He saw a young guy cutting so he stopped and eventually struck up a conversation with the lad, who said, "I sure would like to own a bicycle"

The Preacher asked, "would you trade your mower even steven for my bike?"

The Lad said "yes!"

So the preacher pushed the mower home and the next day he was ready to cut the grass but the mower wouldn't start.

He walked to the lads house and asked him to give some hints on starting the mower and the reply was, "just start cussing"

The Preacher replied that he'd given up using those words years ago and had forgotten them.

The Lad replied, "just keep pulling on the rope and they will come back to you"
