"Kshmavani Parva" (Festival of Forgiveness)

"Kshmavani Parva" (Festival of Forgiveness),It is a festival which is celebrated among "Jains" thrice a year. On this day they ask for forgiveness from every person for any intentional or unintentional act due which the "other person has felt bad, got sad or …………...".

There are times in each person's life when unknowingly some of their acts prove to be disgraceful or negative to others. You must have come across times:
- when just in the heat of the moment you have said something to someone which actually you would have not wanted to say to him/her
- you would have done something which you should not have done or has not done something which you should have done
- sometimes even u have dome something, which is ok but circumstances did not allowed you to make other person understand that there no bad intention involved behind that act for which he/she felt bad, etc

Whatever the case may be, you would have regretted that moment later and wanted to say sorry and wanted to get along with him/her again, but did not able to express your emotions to that person either due to ego, less of courage or any other circumstances.

Friends, this day is giving you an opportunity to express your honest emotions and remove all of your differences with your loved ones, friends, companions, colleagues, relatives, neighbors etc.

This pious day is a "Day for All"
In my opinion this sort of festival should not be limited to a particular religion but should be celebrated irrespective of religion and community, at a mass scale like we celebrate Valentine day, Holi, Friendship day, Independence day, Deepawali, Christmas day etc. Some of you, those hearing for the very first time, might say it rubbish but I have seen so many persons who has ended their differences on this day and happily living afterward.

It is indeed a day to be celebrated by all and if you also feel so then you should let as many people know about it as you can and side by side use this opportunity to remove your differences, if any. Although to celebrate this day it is not necessary that you must have differences with people to ask for sorry. You may say sorry to all even if you do not have any differences, since it will only result in increasing mutual understanding and love.

Last but not the least thing which is very important of this festival is that one should not only ask for forgiveness but should also forgive all people for any sort of the mistake for which you have felt bad. It is said that "forgiving someone is more difficult than asking for forgiveness". Thus firstly you should remove all the bad thoughts or other negative feelings from your mind and heart and then ask for forgiveness from other.

DON'T FORGET THAT "KSHMA VEERASSAY BHUSHNAM" (Forgiving someone is the SIGN OF BEING BRAVE)"

In the last, I take this opportunity to say that "I do not have any sort of negative feeling for you and if intentionally or unintentionally, I have ever hurt you, misbehaved you or did anything wrong about which you had felt bad then I am very very sorry for that & ask for Forgiveness". In case I hurt you, being a human being I cannot go back into the time and change the things, however, please do let me know what can I do erase the memory of that moment from your life. Seeking your support for making our relation better, happier and fruitful. Lets smile together.
